First off you must be a member of SCCA, so join today. To get started you can attend a monthly meeting, attend the annual annual preseason worker symposium or better yet come out to the track and get on the job training. It is up to you to get involved!

NARRC - North Atlantic Road Racing Championship

Road Racing Championship

for the Victoria Cup

 

Eligibility: In order for a Competitor to be eligible to earn points and compete for the Championship he/she shall be a member of NNJR, enter and compete in all three NNJR Regional Races in 2006 [Double Regional at Pocono on 5/13-14 and the Regional at Lime Rock on 8/18-19].  A driver shall be classified as a starter or have qualified in each of the three races to be considered eligible for the championship.  Failure to be a starter or to qualify for each race will render a competitor ineligible for the Championship.  All employees, owners, agents of Victoria Motorsports are ineligible for points towards the Championship.  NNJR will tally all points and it is not necessary for a competitor to register or forward results sheets.  All drivers will be considered for the Championship by virtue of entering the first race at Pocono on 5/13/2006.  The Champion and other prize winners will be the Drivers who satisfy the aforementioned criteria, accumulates the most points and attends the NNJR Annual Dinner and Awards Banquet.  In the event the Drivers with the highest accumulated points meeting the aforementioned eligibility criteria does not attend the Banquet then the championship trophy and prize money will be awarded to the Drivers in attendance with the most accumulated points meeting the eligibility criteria.  

 

Points: Each competitor that finishes pursuant to the Official final results will be awarded points as follows:

 

      1st place      30 points     10th place    16 points     18th place    8 points

      2nd place     27 points     11th place    15 points     19th place    7 points

      3rd place      25 points     12th place    14 points     20th place    6 points

      4th place      23 points     13th place    13 points     21st place    5 points

      5th place      21 points     14th place    12 points     22nd place   4 points

      6th place      20 points     15th place    11 points     23rd place    3 points

      7th place      19 points     16th place    10 points     24th place    2 points

      8th place      18 points     17th place    9 points       25th place    1 point

      9th place      17 points    

 

In addition, one additional point will be awarded for each car a competitor finishes ahead of, including cars that are classified as DNF”s, (i.e. if a competitor finishes 3rd in class and there were 9 cars in his/her class the driver will receive 31 total points for that race regardless of whether all 9 cars are eligible to compete for the Championship).

 

In the event of a tie the winners shall be decided based upon the number of first place finishes in class, then if necessary, the number of second place finishes in class, etc.

 

Judges:  The NNJR Club Racing Committee shall act as the judge for this Championship and shall decide all matters including ties and disputes in their sole discretion.

 

1st place prize --  Victoria Cup Trophy and $200.00

2nd place prize -- $100.00

3rd place prize -- $50.00
