What do the workers do after all racing is done ???
When the day is over, workers invariably have a refreshment
party. Amazingly, these weary people spring back with renewed energy to
relive and retell the day's happenings:
-
The Registrar who had a crew person show up insisting that
he/she was supposed to be on the free crew list.
-
The Scrutineer who discovered brake lines routed through
coil springs.
-
The driver who didn't see a black flag for umpteen laps.
-
The driver who insisted he had a better qualifying time -
he was timing himself, while driving, using the sweep second hand of his
wristwatch.
-
Many other happenings of the day which can be best recalled
and retold with a can of cold refreshment in hand.
